Front Runners or Rockies Fans?

Nothing against the Rockies they are my second favorite baseball team, and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Right now winning 20 out of 21 in this part of the season is legendary, but were did these fans come from? I have lived here for three years and have not really met any fans, most of my friend or more interested in the Nuggets and the Broncos. I have been to 6 games since moving here from the Chicago Burbs, probably more then all these people who are wearing the freshest Rockies hats just bought yesterday. So I would like to know. Are you fans frontrunners or real FANS? I would like some comments and want to be proved wrong. GO ROCKIES!!!!!!!!!!

So I ahve definitely noticed that a lot of people are all of a sudden "fans" just because the Rockies are in the World Series. Personally, I have never been a huge fan but I always enjoyed going to their games. With their success I still am not a die hard fan. It would have been awesome to get World's Series tickets but I'm happy just watching it on TV. I will just stick to being a big fan of football and basketball and then go nuts when my favorite teams do well instead of jumping on the bandwagon like everyone else.

The Rockies have always been my number one team in baseball. I watch them on tv and have seen afew games in person and worked for their minor league affiliate for 2 years. But when you only make the playoffs once in that many years, you dont have much to talk about. Now that they are doing good, people come out of the woodwork showing their support. I think alot of people may be "bandwagoners" but in my case, its just a matter of having something to cheer about for once. Go Rockies!

I've been wondering the same thing. It seems that now that this year has been a complete success for the Rockies people are coming out of the woodwork to say they've been fans since 1992. I beg to differ. People hopped off the bandwagon years ago and now all of a sudden they're fans again? Please. If you're a fan, you're a fan whether your team sucks or not. I've followed the Padres for years and have been through many embarrasing seasons, similar to the Rockies. To answer your question, I'll have to go w/most folks pining for tickets are frontrunners, not fans. They just want to be able to say they were there when...
